Group 3- Working Breeds

The Working Breeds are, for the most part, large dogs bred to assist man in his work. They pull sleds and carts, guide the blind, serve as watch dogs and police dogs and perform many other specialized tasks according to their breed purpose. Because of the wide variety of uses for the dogs in this group, there is great dissimilarity in appearance among its members. Most, however, are powerfully built and display unusual intelligence.
