The Ruffed Grouse are plentiful around Prince Edward County where Mia lives. "With each feather composed of several shades of brown in a rather haphazard pattern, this bird is quite a challenge to paint! I found this Ruffed Grouse walking in the snow while I was searching for 'bittersweet' to photograph. As an avid bird watcher I am always looking for birds. They are amazing creatures - so many varieties and colours…. They remind me just how creative God is!" Mia enthused.
