The Blue Winged Teal are typical visitors to Fish Lake and all of Prince Edward County. After finishing this piece, Mia realized the ducks appear to be resting, undisturbed on an alligator's head! While these Blue Winged Teal are commonplace in the county, alligators absolutely are not! 'Stay Awhile' was selected to appear on a conservation stamp for Nova Scotia in 1998 in order to raise funds for conservation of wildlife habitat.
